Chaotic breakbeats swirl against an enigmatic backdrop of shifting texture and melody before locking into a thunderous groove propelled by electric guitar and bass. Lead singer Craig Aalders opens with the line “Embrace and submit to this transient life” setting the introspective tone which carries throughout. Poetic imagery intertwines with a mosaic of sonic detail before blossoming into a resounding chorus. Aalders imagines being reborn as a crane and soaring through the sky. A captivating instrumental section follows before concluding with a bittersweet coda punctuated by the line “It’s a free fall life and we know that it comes to an end in the blink of an eye”.
